1 I give thanks to my God always for you because of the grace of God that was given you in Christ Jesus, 5 that in every way you were enriched in him in all speech and all knowledge- 6 even as the testimony about Christ was confirmed among you- 7 so that you are not lacking in any spiritual gift, as you wait for the revealing of our Lord Jesus Christ, 8 who will sustain you to the end, guiltless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

At the time of this sermon John Currie was pastor at Cornerstone OPC in Ambler, PA.  Rev. Currie is now Director of Alumni Relations and Educational Advancement as well as Lecturer in Practical Theology at Westminster Theological Seminary.

What an insight during the first part of the sermon– Paul is continuously thanking the Lord for the Corinthians! What a challenge to me! Thank you, Rev. Currie.

I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naïve. (Romans 16:17-18)
