This year, our integrated conference theme is Ordinary Means, Extraordinary Ends: Word, Sacrament, and the Great Commission.

Featuring sessions led by several pastors and scholars from our Reformed Forum family, attendees will explore Matthew 28:18–20, examining how the sovereign authority of Christ empowers the church, the sacramental initiation into life with the Triune God, and the sustaining presence of Christ through the ordinary means of grace.

This event promises a rich, Reformed theological perspective on disciple-making and the church’s mission in today’s world.

8:00–9:00 am・Registration

Registration will open at Hope Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Grayslake, Illinois.

9:00–9:45 am・Session #1・Lane Tipton

Dr. Tipton will consider Matthew 28:18, “And Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me’…”

10:15–11:00 am・Session #2・Camden Bucey

Dr. Bucey will consider Matthew 28:19a, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.”

11:30–12:15 pm・Session #3・Carlton Wynne

Dr. Wynne will consider Matthew 28:19b, “baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”

12:15–1:30 pm・Lunch

A catered lunch will be provided in the church fellowship hall.

1:30–2:15 pm・Session #4・Jim Cassidy

Dr. Cassidy will consider Matthew 28:20a, “teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.”

2:45–3:30 pm・Session #5・Douglas Clawson

Rev. Clawson will consider Matthew 28:20b, “And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Speakers

Our conference brings together a group of esteemed speakers, each specializing in various aspects of Reformed theology, to explore the profound relationship between the ordinary means of grace and the church’s calling in the Great Commission.

These theologians will consider how the sovereign authority of Christ not only commands but also empowers the church to make disciples of all nations.

Through their sessions, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how word, sacrament, and prayer are divinely purposed for extraordinary outcomes in the life of the church.
