I’ve gotta say that it was somewhat humorous how everyone was basically silent (except for Bob) during the first half, but when he started quoting Bavinck and Van Til, it turned into an African-American church type atmosphere with all of the “Right!” “Exactly!” and “Amen!” from the rest of you guys. Not that I disagree, but I still found it funny…
Haha you’re completely right. I fully admit I’m not as aware of Thomistic thinking and categories as I should be. We’ve talked about this offline before – Bob’s strength is medieval philosophy, Jonathan’s is post-Kantian continental, and mine is 20th and 21st century analytic. But we all know Van Til.
