This was a great episode. While Trueman is always refined and articulate, you and my favorite group of Van Tillians continue to show greater and greater maturity and refinement too!
It is my great hope that more reformed historians grapple with Van Til (or better, with self-attesting Christ of Scripture) as the beginning of their methodology. Method matters. Because of the prominence of Hegel in the academy, ‘Historical Methodology’ matters far more than we’ve assumed.

That would make a good episode, Benjamin. I’d like to hear Paul Helseth or Jeff Jue on that one.

Especially since it undergirded Princeton for most of its existence.

He makes a great guest. His classes were always engaging and made what could have been a boring topic quite interesting.

It was a really good interview though. I could listen to Trueman talk about random stuff all day long.
