I’m one of those guys in the PCUSA who “thinks he’s conservative.” 🙂 Also, I was at this conference and found this a very interesting conversation. Can you direct me to some OPC criticism of the Confession of 1967? Thanks!

Wright.

Ten years ago, while on staff w/ InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, I took a class via their National Institute of Staff Education and Training. They have profs come in from different schools and teach week-long intensives. For Systematic 1 and 2 they had Dr. Gary Deddo who was a Fuller adjunct and on staff with IVCF’s grad and faculty ministry at Princeton. Dr. Deddo studied at University of Aberdeen under the direction of James B. Torrance and is also founding member of the T.F. Torrance Theological Society. He disliked the term Neo Orthodox and preferred to call himself “Reformed, Reformed”. I believe he taught similar classes in Systematic Theology for Young Life’s National Training Institute. He currently is an editor at IVP. So you’ve got Barthian perspectives being privileged and imbibed among the staff of leading evangelical para-church orgs for at least the past ten years.
