Discover God’s Unfolding Plan of Redemption

The Things Concerning Himself: Christ in All the Scriptures

Join us for the 2025 Reformed Forum Conference as we explore Jesus’s words in Luke 24:27.

After his resurrection, Jesus taught his disciples how all of Scripture testifies to him. From Genesis to Revelation, God’s unfolding plan of redemption centers on Christ. This conference will trace the grand narrative of Scripture, helping us see how God’s revelation in every era—creation, covenant, kingdom, exile, and fulfillment—points to Jesus.

Key Idea: God’s revelation at creation and the fall establishes the promise of redemption through the seed of the woman, fulfilled in Christ.

Points of Focus:

  • The fall as the context for the first promise of redemption (Genesis 3:15).

“The Seed of Abraham: Christ in the Patriarchs and the Promise”

Text: Genesis 12, 15, 17; Galatians 3:16

Key Idea: God’s covenant with Abraham reveals the promise of Christ as the true seed who brings blessing to the nations.

Points of Focus:

  • God’s promises to Abraham: land, seed, and blessing.
  • The typology of Isaac’s near-sacrifice in Genesis 22 as pointing to the ultimate sacrifice in Christ.
  • Paul’s interpretation in Galatians 3:16, showing Christ as the promised seed.

“The Son in Exile: Christ as the Hope of Restoration”

Text: Ezekiel 36:22–28; Daniel 7:13–14

Key Idea: The exile represents both judgment for sin and the hope of ultimate restoration in Christ.

Points of Focus:

  • Israel’s exile as a shadow of humanity’s estrangement from God and the consequences of sin.
  • God’s promises of restoration through the new covenant (Ezekiel 36:26) and the coming of the Son of Man (Daniel 7:13–14).
  • Christ as the fulfillment of these promises: the one who ends exile by bringing His people into the presence of God.
2:45–3:30 pm・Session #5・Camden Bucey

“The Lamb of God: Christ in Fulfillment and Consummation”

Text: Luke 24:44–49; Revelation 5:9–14

Key Idea: Christ fulfills all Scripture, and the ultimate goal of God’s revelation is his glory in the redemption of His people.

Points of Focus:

  • Christ’s own interpretation of the Old Testament as pointing to his life, death, and resurrection (Luke 24:44–47).
  • The apostles’ proclamation of Christ’s fulfillment of Scripture in Acts (e.g., Peter in Acts 2; Paul in Acts 13).
  • Revelation’s depiction of Christ as the Lamb who is worthy to open the scroll and bring history to its consummation.

Speakers

Our conference brings together an excellent group of speakers to explore how all of Scripture progressively reveals Christ as the fulfillment of God’s redemptive plan. From creation and covenant to exile and restoration, we will trace how every epoch of biblical history testifies to him.

They will demonstrate how understanding the unfolding revelation of Christ deepens our grasp of Scripture’s unity and coherence. By following the progressive unveiling of Christ throughout redemptive history, attendees will gain a richer appreciation for how all of God’s revelation finds its culmination and meaning in him.
