Your friend is correct. Luther didn’t “discover” the doctrine. He “re-discovered” it. 🙂

Care to clarify in case some theological opponent should attempt to capitalize on such wording out of context?

That distinction between the Anabaptist and Calvinist application of the RPW puts matters in such clear light, especially in our sacramental theology. In addition to your journal article, you spoke on this at a recent conference. Which lecture was that again?
