As another year gets into swing, many people have begun new Bible reading plans. Reading through Scripture each day is a powerful and transformative discipline. We discuss the practice of Bible reading personally, in the home, and in the church.

  1. My wife and I have tried several of the plans listed in your Ligonier Link, but I believe we have benefited most from the Grant Horner Plan which is described in your link. One variation that I enjoyed was combining the reading of the Bible as outlined in the Discipleship Journal Plan while listening to Max McClean’s audio reading: https://www.biblegateway.com/audio/mclean/kjv/Gen.1.
    That was helpful in learning to pronounce difficult names and places.
