Reading Biographies

On this week’s episode of Theology Simply Profound, we repost an old episode on Reading Biographies. In this episode, Rob, Melodie, and Bob discuss the benefits of reading biographies and which ones may be helpful to read, both Christian and non-Christian. We also bring to your attention the new biography published by Reformed Forum, Geerhardus Vos: Reformed Biblical Theologian, Confessional Presbyterian, by Danny E. Olinger.

Theology Simply Profound considers how even the simple truths God has revealed to us in his Word are deeply profound. Reformed theology need not be for scholars alone, it is for every believer. Browse more episodes from this program or subscribe to the podcast feed.

In this episode, somewhere before the 18 minute mark, the comment is made that Servetus was also condemned to death by the Anabaptist churches.

This seemed a bit odd to me (given Anabaptist beliefs) and I have never heard that observation before…I’m wondering if there is any citation which could be provided for that statement.

I read that awhile ago so it might take me some time to get the citation but I will start looking.
